New Feature Management (Finance) -Part-4 in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations

Hello Everyone, Welcome to the next blog on exploring new features added by Microsoft in recent version. This time I have listed few features which can help us in any implementation from “Finance Modules”.

There are 100+ features added across all modules but today I am taking only 8. Hope this will help you to explore

Pre-Requisites: Enable all the features from Feature Management Workspace.

  1. Add Vendor ID, Vendor name, Customer ID, and Customer name to the Voucher transaction list page

Enabling this feature will add the Vendor ID, Vendor name, Customer ID, and Customer name to the Voucher transaction list page.

Note: Earlier this was available in “Account Source Explorer”

  • (India) Enable changing tax rate type in purchase invoice


In India, most of times when vendor invoice is received from the supplier is having different tax rate from what it is in the purchase order. This feature provides the flexibility to user to make change to the tax rate type in vendor invoice.

  • Attachments button on the Pending invoices journal form

This feature enables a header attachments button on Pending invoices page to let users attach or view attachments to invoices

  • Credit management

Credit management allows you to create and manage credit limits, block customer orders based on rules and release those orders.

  • Defaulting of customer business address in the tax information of a sales transaction and Company address in direct delivery Purchase order

This feature will default customer business address in the tax information tab of a sales transaction and company address in the tax information tab of a direct delivery purchase order.

  • Enable update to bank transaction types for advanced bank reconciliation

This feature enables you to set the bank transaction type of a bank document for advanced bank reconciliation.

  • Let invoices be submitted to workflow with incomplete or incorrect accounting distributions

This feature lets you submit a vendor invoice or free-text invoice to a workflow process, even when accounting distributions are missing or incorrect. The person who approves the invoice can then correct the accounting information before approving it in the workflow process. Allowing the invoice to be submitted to workflow makes it more readily available to approvers who have the access and responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of the accounting information on the invoice.

  • Subledger transfer to General Ledger 

This functionality improves the transfer of data from the subledger to the General Ledger. It allows the process to be more efficient and group sets of smaller transactions to transfer together allowing for a more efficient use of the batch server.
