Inventory value adjustments in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations: Part-4

Welcome to the subsequent segment of the inventory valuation series. Up to this point, I’ve delved into three valuation methods: Weighted Average, FIFO, and LIFO.

In today’s video, I will explore value adjustment without affecting quantity. Often, discrepancies arise in the valuation of received inventory. Such discrepancies can stem from data entry errors or other issues, such as entries made in different units of measurement.

Take, for instance:

  1. The user mistakenly entered 1000 instead of 100, adding an extra zero.
  2. The user entered the value of one pack of 6 as 100, erroneously considering the pack of 6 as the quantity.

Curious about how to rectify such errors? Dive into the video for the solution!
